Mood booster Challenge – Day 4 – “Largesse”

Hello everyone, and welcome back to day 4 for of our week long Mood Booster challenge. Today, we will be focusing on tasks that are related to largesse.

All tasks are in descending order and feel free to include as many as you can in your day or upcoming days.

Here we go, once again, in the descending order of the difficulty:

  1. Grow Up:
    Over the years we have picked up fights with friends and family members. The fights may have started for something genuine or for nothing whatsoever. Irrespective of that, it left a crack in your relationship. Today is the day to show your largesse, by mending that crack. Message or call someone you have had a fight with in the past and make the first move to mend the relationship.
  2. Take a loss:
    if you are in the middle of a negotiation, go ahead and accept the shorter end willingly. It could be a business deal, a job offer or something you have been planning with something. You may incur a loss. But that will only make you feel better. As you let it happen willingly, it showed that money is not that all important to you. Besides, any loss that happens can be recuperated. What is more important at present is showing largesse.
  3. Gift:
    if you are someone who shies away from gifting, here is your chance to grow up from it. The process of gifting has been made very simple by the online marketplaces. You just have to think of a person and think what they might be in a need of and the rest is taken care of from the comfort of your home.
  4. Go shopping:
    If you do not feel ready to gift something to someone else, start with yourself. You are equally important. Buy something that you have been thinking of for a while now. Bask in the feeling of owning what you have wished for.
  5. Stop and smell the rose:
    Spending time in nature can do wonders for your mood. Living in the concrete jungle makes us forget our true nature. When we consciously make time to be among greenery or with animals, it helps us reconnect to the mother Earth. Seed some plants, water some plants, or feed some animals. If nothing else, fresh oxygen is nothing to be sneezed at. Pun intended 😉
  6. Skygazing:
    Watching the sky at night can be so amazing. It puts our mind into the state of wonderment. The feeling that we are a part of such a giant scheme is nothing less than empowerment in itself. You need not go to the countryside to witness it. Going to the terrace or in the open with or without someone is good enough too.
  7. Meditate:
    All that you see or have seen outside you, exists within you too. Meditation is the process of going within and finding something larger than yourself. Our true potential, that remains hidden while our eyes are open.
