Mood Booster Challenge – Day 5 – “Create”

Hello all and good to see you again on the 5th day of the week long mood booster challenge.

Today we will be focusing on tasks that are related with creating. Our mind likes change. After prolonged consumption of same things, our mind looks for newer things. And of the easiest way to give your mind something new, is by creating.

So, here are some tasks, in the descending order of difficulty that can help you boost your mood. Try as many as you like, but do try at least one.

  1. Signup for a workshop: Workshops are a great place to learn a new skill and build something out of it while interacting with new people. A workshop can be the best new change that you can give yourself. It can be any workshop. It doesn’t have to be related to your hobbies or interests even. You can just show up and experience something new.
  2. Invent a game: You can think of a new game that you can enjoy with your friends or relatives on the next get-together. It could be a board game, it could be something like mad-libs or could be an online game like ‘2 truths and a lie’. Come up with the rules, the possible scenarios and the setup. Use your craft skills to make the apparatus needed.
  3. Crafts and art: “We all are good at at least one art. If you think you are not, you haven’t tried enough” – Anonymous.
Yes, you are good at at least one art form. If you know what it is, you can get to it and create something new from it. It could be a dance routine, a song, a painting, a sketch, a pencil holder, or any first thing that comes to your mind. Create it.
  4. Write: One does not have to be a writer to write. You can write anything. You can write about how your day was. But you have to literally, “write”. As in use a pen/pencil and a paper. Digital writing never feels the same. Write an essay, like we did in school, write about a recent event that happened, write about a place you went to recently, write about your feelings, your thoughts, your dreams, or any image that comes to your mind. Write in as much detail as you wish to, without worrying about someone reading it. The writing can get your thoughts much more in order than before.
  5. Make a post: Any image with a cool caption, any memory with a feeling with it, a meme with a funny twist, or a complain tweet with a supporting screenshot. Create a post on social media like it’s going to be the next viral stuff.
  6. Random Chat: There are sites or apps that help you connect with anonymous people. If you are a responsible person and intend to harm no one, you can just go on one of these sites and connect with someone and talk about anything you like.
  7. Sing along: Play your favorite songs and hum or sing along. If the song makes you feel like dancing, don’t hold yourself back. Move with it.

I hope these mood boosters help you have a better day than yesterday. See you tomorrow again for the 6th day. Take care ❤
